Engine 001

Engine001 is an RPG / Adventure / Anything game making engine. For the last little while I’ve been contributing music for the project. Most of these tracks start out as midi compositions, which are available in the core version of the engine.

For the subscriber edition of the engine, the instrumentation of the final audio tracks are rearranged to sound much more realistic than their midi counterparts.

The idea behind these compositions was to try and capture the feel of the old-school, top-down RPGS of the retro SNES and NES days. If you visit the Engine001 website you can see that the assets and such are geared more towards recreating these retro styled games, so the music is heavily influenced by soundtracks from this era (Final Fantasy, and anything by Square/Enix at the time).
